Thanks so much for putting a photo on your blog of the Marshmallow Shortcake :)
I had a chuckle about the "egg beater". I still have my mother's one and always use it to whip the cream.....now in plastic bottls of course!!!......no using the electric beater for this task for me :) My girls think its funny but I believe you have more control over the thickness of the cream using my trusty hand beater. I also have another one which has just the one bulb and is just wonderful for fitting in small bowls LOL Again it was my mothers.:) I love your blog and the photos are just amazing.
We have friends here in our little town who are Dutch so I can relate to the accent being a problem sometimes LOL. We have a great Dutch community here and they with help have built the only true full scale working Dutch Windmill in New Zealand. http://www.demolenfoxton.org.nz/
Wishing you a great day and Happy Cooking
