One of the best restaurants in my town is called Ichikawa, and I love to watch them make sushi, sashimi and the bento boxes. Great photos, per usual.

You’re not rolling the sushi up INSIDE the mat (or you’d be eating bamboo with your sushi); it looks like you just roll it up and then roll up the mat next to it to sort of push it along, or? Color me confused…but the food presentation and photos as usual are so good that it makes me want to eat sushi, which I don’t do.

I’ve thought of this EXACT kind of dinner party and leave it to YOU to actually DO it! Your Maki roll looks yummy! I love the rolls where the rice is on the outside (I could eat the sticky rice all on its own – delish!).

Haven’t made sushi in awhile… looks like it is time. :-)
