In a continuation of our recent trip to France and following my post of yesterday, we are still at the goat farm.
When we arrived we were met by an inquisitive black and white dog that looked something like what I think is a border collie, who quietly checked us out.
As we enter the second shed to see the kids (the baby goat “kids” not ours) all attention is suddenly diverted to a box where a litter of 3 week old puppies lie huddled together.
Their Mama is the dog who came to check us out earlier and the framer gives our children permission to cuddle the puppies. Their eyes have only been open for a few days and our children have strict instructions to sit down and to be extra quiet and gentle.
Mama dog has a minute or so of back and forth walking and looking anxious, but once she realises that everything is ok, she lies down calmly to watch from a short distance away.
I now have about 70 cute “Children + Puppies” photographs that I have to sort though, naturally none of those will make it onto my blog for reasons of Kiwidutch family privacy, but you can at least see some shots of the babies who stole the show…
