Quick extra message today as we are experiencing laptop meltdown in this last week… Himself has a laptop which the kids have commendeered as homework and games computer, He uses a computer for his work and I have a laptop that I use daily and cart around the world whenever we travel.
Monday last week Himself’s two year old laptop had catastrophic brainfade mid Lego movie, much to Little Mr’s constination.
The machine (luckily not the kid) appears to have had a heart attack and died. My theory is that the the machine probably hated the tempermental “vista” system imposed on it as much as I did whenever I had to use Himself’s computer. I hate Vista so much, that that was as little as humanly possible.
So… appointment made to get our computer specialist to take a look. Said specialist is on holiday, ok no panic we will wait for his return, we still have two working computers right?
Then Wednesday, my almost five year old laptop appears to have died of a broken heart after it’s mates passing, thus making Himself’s day job computer the only electonic brain in this household to be in working order.
Yes, I did panic somewhat… I’ve since bought a new laptop but nothing is set up, installed or initialised, or whatever you have to do to personalise the thing and get back and running… I hope to get this done soonest.
Thank You WordPress for the small miracle that is the ” schedule” … luckily my series of Cape Verde posts are safely in “the queue” and blogging trasmission is just a little messy at the moment, but not fully broken.
Needless to say that Himself, who has a steep deadline to meet with client work, is guarding his day job computer like it’s made of gold, glass or saffron, ‘cos Murphies Law seems to be in full force around here, and the electronic apparatuses in this house are falling like flies…
Short message as I am on borrowed gear, just to say that I’m here but not, if you know what I mean. I’m not giving you all the silent treatment, and Elaine, your stroopwafels are on their way
Normal transmission will be resumed as soon as possible.
Meantime enjoy the Cape Verde Posts !
