Cars in all shapes and paintworks…

I usually carry my camera with me whenever I am out and about. I like to take photos of anything that catches my eye.  Now Hubby is certainly the Car Fan in the family, and he would be the one to tell you what these cars are, the makes and models etc. Me, I just go on colour, shape and anything that catches my eye.

Here is one that is very strangely angular… only a car that the designer could love?

Another one, rather boxy?

All curves here… ( but I can parallel park much better than that  LOL)

  1. Love those car pictures;how did you ever find so many different shapes; great stuff. We don’t see too many Smart cars around here. I would love to have one of those!

    • How to find all these? First, I carry my camera with me every day, Second I have been taking the tram to work all Summer, Autumn and early winter instead of taking the car and I’ve been walking “the long way home” though small side streets in increase my ration of exercise, Third, between One and Two, I got lucky LOL. There are many small cars in The Netherlands, all cars are really expensive and fuel costs double that of the USA, plus the additional Road Tax we pay goes by the size and weight of your car, so Smart cars make a lot of sense. (but sadly not siutable for us, since we have two kids to get in the back) These are just like regular cars.. just compact… … very compact 🙂

  2. Oooo, I’d take that vintage wagon, no problem. I love Smart Cars, but I’d be too chicken to drive one on our freeways.

  3. I love the Smart cars…I would like a Smart Forfour, though, since it is a little larger! 🙂

I still remember my first time seeing a Smart Fortwo, in Germany, as it went by our tour bus, we were all like “What the heck was that?!?!?!?!?!” LOL

    • LOL Carrie, going past any sized Smart Car in a bus is like standing someone who is 4ft 11 in next to someone 6ft 6in… it will make one look even bigger and the other even smaller friend’s wife really wanted one, but he’s 6ft 7in so she must have been wishful thinking quite a lot on that one LOL ( he rolled his eyes when he told me, as in ” seriously, what WAS she thinking?!) When we looked at buying a car we looked at Renault and Peugeot small cars and liked the look and price of the Renault… but the steering wheel doesn’t lift up in it so my 6ft 5in hubby couldn’t get his legs into it, (not so small driving glitch, don’tcha think?) The Peugeot 206 had a steering wheel that can be raised up and we’ve been amazingly happy with that car for almost 10 years now.
