A Pool, A Breakfast and Then A Surprise…

The next morning we wake up bright and early at the Karos Floris Hotel Brugge, in Bruges, Belgium.

Very unusually, our children were out of their beds without having to be asked twice, but only due to the fact that we told them that we intended to have breakfast and go out for the day immediately afterwards, so if they wanted a swim in the hotel pool, they would have to have it before breakfast.

They were both into their swimming costumes quicker than you could say “rise and shine” and dragged Himself down the hall to the pool so fast that I could scarcely believe that these were my usually sleepy head offspring.

Naturally they came back with a decent appetite and made good use of the hotel breakfast buffet.  The pain au chocolat  proved popular, as did the chocolate cereal and that cold meat selection… Velveteen and I however leaned more towards the bacon and scramble eggs and the toast options. Himself is an exceptionally early riser and had already had breakfast long before everyone else was up, so later when we went, he just enjoyed coffee.   During my earlier research I discovered an attraction that we want to surprise both Velveteen and the kids with… and it’s here that we are heading out to next…
