RaboBank Is Downsizing: …Or Shrinking ?

Borkel en Schaft is a tiny Dutch village and their tiny Dutch bank stopped us in our tracks. It’s the smallest bank I have ever seen and is basically an ATM machine enclosed in a building smaller than the average garden shed. The roof, offering protection from the rain as customers take out, or deposit their money seems massive when compared with the size of the building. We found this a funny, quirky, but completely functional building…

  1. Love it – even our Rabobank here in the village of Dargaville is bigger than that…

    • Kiwiskan,
Most country towns in New Zealand still have at least one small bank and ATM this one made us laugh and I think that the very large out-sized looking roof makes it look even more comical.
Maybe if ever the Rabobank in Dargaville is going to downsize then this is glimpse of what you might be getting? LOL
I think it’s brilliant though, far better an ATM like this than having to go kilometres to another town for cash deposits or withdrawals.
