A No-Brainer And A Puzzle That Probably Isn’t A JigSaw…

Today I have a fifty-fifty split in my success rate attempting to solve the 2017 Garderen Sand Sculpture competition section, which that year had the theme of “games”. It helped my cause that I’d guess that the first one is probably the most played board game world-wide, so it was literally a “no-brainer”… but my luck wasn’t to last.

(Number 31) Chess. This was one of the easiest of the games to solve. For those of you unfamiliar with the Dutch Royal Family, the King and Queen chess pieces have been replaced with portraits of the Dutch monarch King Willem-Alexander, and his wife, Queen Máxima.

(Number 32)  YOU’RE BLUFFING I have no idea what this one is… first I guessed it might be a card game, but what does the bag of money then mean? and why would the grinning cat be portrayed in three dimensions and not as a card? The “Ravensburger” logo only had me more confused, they make jigsaw puzzles don’t they? this doesn’t look like one. Any help is most appreciated! (Also nice to know that the WordPress spellcheck tried to suggest “veggieburger” to replace Ravensburger. If my computer could have sentient thoughts it might be alarmed at what I was looking to cook for dinner tonight!)

  1. The Ravensburger one is:

    YOU’RE BLUFFING

    A game of the eighties.
I never heard of it, neither did I play it
