The Boar, Owl And Bird Of Prey…

The next of the 2017 Garderen Sand Sculpture exhibition wood sculptures features the pieces that made me give it the nick-name the “Owl tree”. Not only has a magnificent owl been carved into a hollow in this large tree stump, there is also a wild boar at the base and an eagle (or bird of prey) spread out in full flight on a different side. Bird lover that I am, this is still not really to my taste, but this does not detract in any way shape or form, the creativity and detail that has been achieved here. You could say that there is inspiration from top to bottom, in every nook and cranny and soaring over wherever this sculpture stands.
