Following on from yesterday’s post, I was fortunate to find that several of local artists had decided to group together and exhibit their creations in one of the larger homes. For me it was very much appreciated that I didn’t have the logistical hassle of getting to four or five different homes, saving both time and energy (both in short supply since I move slowly and have to stand more than I really want to in order to take photographs). Yes, I was offered a chair at several locations, in one or two I took up the offer, in others I would have been in the way of others visitors and the exhibits so declined.
Jewellery fascinates me, the fact that something like a stone can go from a rough-hewn lump of apparent dull nothingness, to a breath taking piece of jewellery almost seems like magic. Sadly their beauty and all that lovely shiny brilliance is what makes them very hard to phonograph. The colour and depth within this stone was stunning, this iwas the best I could… believe me, these photographs did not do it nearly enough justice.
