Three Beautiful Gentlemen…

My next discovery from one of the recent “Parels”(Pearls) weekends, are another three portraits. All feature men, but other than that, are each as different as night an day.  Two of them give the impression of  there having been sitters, the other, of the gentleman in the hat, looks like a character study done from a photograph. He has a distinct look of an Australian Aborigional, and capturing the weathered look he has, has been really well done. I really like these… Beautiful work!

Stunning Portraiture….

Following yesterday’s post, I am showing off some of the artistic discoveries I made whilst visiting one of the many neighbourhood “Parels”(Pearls) weekends. From a distance I thought that this trio portrait was in a very nineteen-thirties style but a closer up inspection revealeved that these are (a family?) in Scouting uniform. I really, really like this piece, it seems to manage to be simple and yet detailed at the same time, and I love the composition and style. Stunning!

Variety Of Mediums And Styles…

Portraits are difficult to do, these ones, seen during one of the Hague’s “Parels” (Pearls) weekends, shows a variety of mediums, and styles. I’m not certain if they are also the work of the artist featured in yesterday’s post, as a progression or by a different artist. They were  exhibited in the same area at least. Either way… Enjoy!

Portraiture Radiating Life And Charactor…

I’m having problems with my portrait oriented photographs rotating unnaturally during the upload process… which despite repeated reentering, persists.  Apologies for you having to strain your neck sideways to get a better view of the first photograph. These are portraits of the same person, each with it’s own distinct feel to it. It’s actually benificial to see all three in a row because here is a sort of progression, the third portrait (in my humble opinion) radiating life and adding even more character to the first two.
